Premium Full Synthetic API CK-4 Diesel Engine Oil; Fortified with Liquid Titanium® Protection Additive
Kendall® SHP Diesel Full Synthetic Engine Oil is a premium-quality, full-synthetic engine oil developed for use in four-stroke cycle diesel engines that meets API CK-4 performance requirements for use in modern low-emission engines designed to meet 2007 and later EPA on-highway exhaust emissions standards, and it is backward-compatible with older diesel engines that require an API "C" category oil. Because SHP is an SAE 5W-40 synthetic engine oil, it has better low-temperature properties that provide better performance in harsh winter climates, enhanced oxidation resistance, thermal stability at high temperatures and improved low-temperature performance.
Composed of synthetic base stocks and an advanced low-SAP additive package, SHP Diesel provides outstanding wear protection, soot control, and corrosion protection in conventional and EGR-equipped diesel engines. Because this oil has excellent soot discrepancy, it better protects against abrasive wear and soot-induced oil thickening, and ensures good low-temperature pumpability.
SHP Diesel is formulated for use in diesel engines operating on diesel fuels with a sulfur content up to 500 ppm. Not using an ultra-low sulfur diesel fuel? Consult with your engine manufacturer for a recommended service interval.
SHP Diesel is compatible with exhaust aftertreatment systems using diesel particulate filters (DPF), diesel oxidation catalysts (DOC), and selective catalytic reduction (SCR).
